Building a leader driven site for IoD
IoD Ireland is a membership body for over 3000 company directors and business leaders. Kooba were appointed their digital partners in 2020 and designed and delivered an engaging online experience that supported existing members and drove new sign ups.

At Kooba we are continuously evolving our UX/UI process by obsessing over the end-user. For IoD we focused strongly on a user-centred approach, which we coupled with a clear understanding of and empathy for the business goals and objectives that drive the project.
Creating an engaging space for multiple audiences
Whilst increasing new member sign-ups was a key metric for the new IoD site, there was also a need to appeal to the 2 audiences - members and non-members. We wanted to ensure membership was brought to the forefront, with clear signposting and an intuitive user journey for potential members that guided them through the member benefits and ultimately to the online application form. Simultaneously, we wanted to highlight the unique benefits that IoD membership delivered. We accomplished this through a focus on members-only content. Previously when a non-member visited the site, the member-only content was not visible, but we implemented an approach that allowed non-members a teaser of the content available to members, which IoD utilised as a marketing tool to attract membership.
What we did
Ultimately Kooba delivered an outstanding brand & interactive online experience that reflects the status of position of IoD within the Irish business community.
The Kooba team improved and optimised key metrics across the website, particularly driving new member sign ups with a conversion focused UX strategy. We introduced a best practice industry leading Content Management System with full training and support to enable and empower IoD to take full control of their content strategy.
