We’re looking for a Graduate UI Designer to become part of our Dublin design team. We want an eager designer near the beginning of their career. Someone who’s ready to learn from an experienced team and get their hands on real client projects from day one.
The Role
As a Graduate UI Designer, you'll work alongside our UI/UX designers, developers and project teams to help create engaging, accessible and highly usable digital experiences.
Become an essential part of the design process, from exploring early visual ideas and concepts through to detailed interface design, responsive layouts, design systems and final production-ready designs.
We don't expect you to know everything yet. We're looking for someone with strong design fundamentals, attention to detail and, most importantly, the appetite to develop quickly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing engaging and intuitive website and digital interfaces.
- Creating responsive layouts across desktop, tablet and mobile.
- Working primarily in Figma to develop concepts, interfaces and prototypes.
- Supporting senior designers in developing creative concepts and visual directions.
- Building and maintaining components and design systems.
- Applying typography, colour, imagery, layout and interaction principles effectively.
- Working with UX designers to turn research, wireframes and user journeys into polished interfaces.
- Collaborating closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented to a high standard.
- Learning how to design with accessibility and universal design principles in mind.
- Taking part in design reviews, critiques and project workshops.
- Presenting and explaining your design thinking internally and, as you develop, to clients.
- Keeping up with developments in digital design, technology and AI-enabled design tools.
What We're Looking For
You may be a recent graduate in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, Digital Design, UX/UI or a related discipline.
We care more about the quality of your portfolio and how you think about design than the title of your degree.
We're looking for:
- A strong eye for visual design.
- Good typography, layout and composition skills.
- An understanding of designing for digital rather than simply applying graphic design to a screen.
- Some experience with Figma.
- An understanding of responsive web design.
- Curiosity about UX and how people actually use digital products.
- Strong attention to detail.
- An interest in accessibility and inclusive design.
- The ability to take feedback positively and improve your work.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Curiosity about emerging technology and how AI is changing the design process.
- A genuine desire to build a career in digital design.
Your Portfolio
Your portfolio is an important part of the application.
We're not looking for years of commercial work. College projects, personal projects, concepts and self-initiated work are all welcome.
We'd particularly like to see work that demonstrates strong visual thinking, typography, layout, digital interface design and attention to detail.
Where possible, show us some of the thinking behind the finished design — not just the final screens.
