Frontend developers at Kooba work in small, collaborative teams to create web experiences for some of Ireland & Europe’s biggest brands. They work closely with UX & UI designers, Backend Developers and Project Managers to deliver projects which reach the highest quality standards.
Kooba’s approach emphasises hands-on skills across all departments. We are looking for someone with outstanding knowledge about the web and a passion for ensuring best practices are followed and emerging technologies are used to their best potential.
The role:
- Transform UI designs to frontend prototypes that are fully responsive across all devices
- Handle integration of data from CMS solutions and external services
- Ensure the final quality of your project meet the highest quality standards
Key skills and experience:
- Hands-on web development experience, ideally in an agency environment
- Strong understanding of core JavaScript proficiency
- Experience with one or more Javascript frameworks such as React, Svelte or Vue
- Experience of Astro JS
- Solid grasp of HTML and CSS, leveraging CSS preprocessors like Sass or CSS frameworks like Tailwind
- Demonstrated understanding of task runners such as Vite or Webpack
- Experience if using AI in process to improve development speed and quality
- Experience using GIT as part of a development team
- An understanding of automated deployment processes
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your time effectively
- Understanding of the requirements to deliver AA conformant websites
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to communicate directly with clients
- A robust approach to testing and QA
Nice to have:
- Understanding or proficiency with no-code and AI solutions
- 3D and animation skills (Three JS, Web GL, GSAP etc.)
- Backend development experience
- QQI Level 6 education or higher
